Kanuka Model Built on Proven Technology
So far four examples of Greenlane Kanuka have been produced in 2011; the success of this model is a testament to the developmental work done on Manuka, as part of R&D assistance provided by the Ministry of Science and Innovation through its Technology for Business Growth Fund.
With triple the capacity of Manuka at (300Nm³/h), Kanuka serves an important market niche, using technology proven in the highly successful Manuka units. The patented water flooded screw compressor system is energy efficient, compact and desirable for its clean and environmentally friendly use of water for lubrication rather than oil. Design and production was a smooth transition from the Manuka due to similarity; both Manuka and Kanuka are delivered as modules based on a twenty-foot (6 metre) container. And of course installation and commissioning, as expected of these totally standardised units, was fast, smooth and without surprises.
With 14 x smaller “Manuka class” Greenlane plants already installed worldwide, mainly as demonstration units, Greenlane is in good stead to successfully market the larger Kanuka, as clients step up to commercial scale ventures. Sales of Kanuka have been boosted by the single box modular solution – seen as a simple answer by customers. Greenlane Kanuka already boasts several keynote orders, including the first commercial biogas upgrading plant in Finland and the first biogas upgrading plant in Denmark.
