Announced Winner for Deal of the Year for the Second Time

Flotech was announced winner of Deal of the Year in the Air New Zealand Export Awards held recently in Auckland. Flotech previously won this award in 2008, after winning the contract to supply EnviTec Biogas with 5 of its "Totara" biogas upgrading plants to the Güstrow in Germany. This project is well known in the renewable energy industry as the world’s largest biogas digester / upgrading plant, with the entire project valued at €42 million.

For the 2010 competition Flotech entered with its biggest deal so far, to supply 9 x high pressure fuel gas compressors to Wärtsilä of Finland, for three different power generation sites in the Amazon jungles in Brazil. The compression systems provide clean 350 bar fuel gas to a series of 15,000 kW engines to replace diesel, which provides the power stations with substantial savings in fuel costs and significantly lowered emissions. Flotech has delivered on time and within budget, to a satisfied customer.
