Project Managers
Project Managers will be responsible for the overall control and management of assigned projects from contract review to commissioning and at times will lead multifunctional teams to achieve project objectives. In addition, they will support projects through the development of project plans, specification and procurement of materials, development of process designs, document control, monitoring project and fabrication progress and preparing reports.
Applicants should have experience in project management processes and proficiency in using Microsoft Project and Work Breakdown Structure. An understanding of Quality Management processes and Health and Safety legislation is also crucial for the role. Familiarity with gas and compressor processes, while not essential, is preferred. Candidates will have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics (or similar) Engineering, proficiency in MS Project / AutoCad, as well as sound technical and interpersonal skills. Some international travel will be required.
Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
The HSE Manager will play a critical role in the development of improved health, safety, and environmental practices for the company on a global scale. Responsibilities include maintaining the company’s ACC WSMP status, taking the lead in the implementation of the company’s Environmental and OH&S management systems, ensuring the provision of appropriate training to staff, and developing / updating HSE performance objectives. Applicants should have knowledge of international HSE legislative requirements and “best practice” procedures for the Engineering and Manufacturing industry, along with an understanding of ACC Workplace Safety Management practices and NZ4801 requirements.
Mechanical Design Engineers
The Design Engineers will have good familiarity with pressure vessel and machinery design, and will be responsible for producing designs and drawings for pressure vessels and compressor packages in accordance with applicable code, contract and statutory requirements. Well presented, they will take pride in maintaining and enhancing Flotech’s reputation. The successful candidates will have related tertiary qualifications, practical skills in Solidworks and AutoCad, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Electrical and Instrumentation Manager
The E&I Manager will be involved in overseeing the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical and control systems in New Zealand and overseas. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the candidate will be responsible for reviewing the work of the E&I engineers, assisting and monitoring of electrical and control Factory Acceptance Testing, and site records maintenance. Experience in the design and installation of MCC and control systems as well as practical knowledge in PLC programming (especially Siemens and Modicon) are essential for the role. Applicants should also have a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, good leadership abilities, and strong written and verbal English communication skills. An understanding of European electrical regulations/standards would be an advantage.
Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
Involved in the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical and control systems, the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will have an Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant work experience, sound knowledge of PLC programming, and at least 3 years experience in the installation and commissioning of electrical and control systems. Proficiency in Elecdes Drawing and Office 2000 software and excellent oral / written English communication skills are essential to the role, along with accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. An understanding of Instrument and Electrical component selection, experience with Modicon/Siemens PLC programming, and familiarity with European regulations/standards will be an advantage. Some international travel will be required.
Fitter-Welders / Fabricators (Auckland)
Interested applicants should take pride in their work; have an eye for detail and the ability to read drawings. Experience with fabrication of pressure vessels and pipework in carbon & stainless steel to a high standard is required. Welding is normally to ASME IX or EN 287/288 design codes. Applicants should be self-motivated and willing to be part of a high performing team. Industry-leading pay rates plus company benefits await successful candidates.
Fitter-Machinists (Auckland)
Applicants should be experienced, take pride in their work and have an eye for detail, with the ability to read drawings. A good knowledge of pipework, fittings and instrumentation for gas systems is desirable. Applicants should be self-motivated and willing to be part of a high performing team. Workshop Technician (Auckland)
The Workshop Technician will be trained to use the company's sub arc welding machine. While no previous welding experience is required, applicants should be mechanically oriented and have strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Senior Spare Parts Coordinator (Auckland)
The Senior Spare Parts Coordinator will be involved in planning and implementing sales and marketing programmes, maintaining key-account relationships, and developing systems relating to spare parts logistics. Applicants should have previous spare parts experience, or be currently workign in the compressor, automotive, or rotatating equipment spare parts industry. Excellent communication, planning and organising skills are essential along with a proficiency in computer applications particularly MS Excel.
IT Administrator
As the first line of IT support for the company and its employees, the IT Administrator will be responsible for responding to faults and performing new user set ups, handling induction IT training, performing routine testing, handling/updating records, and overall technical support. A tertiary qualification in IT or a related course, at least 2-3 years experience in an IT position, and outstanding technical computer skills are essential for the role. Experience in MS SQL database and ERP Systems, along with an understanding of networking and PC integrated phone systems will be an advantage.
Storeperson (Auckland)
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Storeperson will handle the physical movement of goods through the supply chain and ensure the accurate and timely receipt, allocation, and recording of materials according to set classifications. The candidate will have at least two years experience in a technical/engineering role, with an ability to handle administrative tasks such as managing files and other records
Graduate Engineers
We are looking for graduate Mechanical, Process, or Electrical Engineers to join the company’s Graduate Programme. Applicants should be highly motivated, with a willingness to learn and grow with the business. Successful candidates will be assigned a mentor, provided with a wide variety of work, and given opportunities for training.
Apprentices
This is a unique opportunity for people with a commitment to train as welders, fabricators, or fitter-machinists. Applicants should ideally have a mechanical aptitude, with a strong interest to progress in a trades role.
Compressor Field Service Engineers
We are seeking experienced, capable Compressor Field Service Engineers to be based in Singapore. Applicants need to have compressor servicing and troubleshooting experience (both workshop and in the field), while knowledge of compressor package process systems would be an advantage. Ability to work individually when required is also essential. Basic PLC control system editing knowledge and compressor package commissioning experience, while not essential, would be highly regarded. The successful candidate must be willing to travel internationally. Full company training will be completed at our Auckland facility.

We are seeking experienced, capable Electrical and Instrumentation Field Service Engineers, to be based in Singapore.
