Flotech's founders trained as engineers with the Royal NZ Air Force and then started a business to provide machinery installation services to the then burgeoning Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) industry in New Zealand. Flotech has since become a well known international industrial equipment supplier, offering solutions for:

Most designs are standardised, however Flotech frequently delivers custom engineered equipment and "turn-key" skid packaged process systems.

In the Gas Compression sector, Flotech's chief competitive strengths are fuel gas boosters for power generation and gas-lift / re-injection compressors for the oil industry. The development of high-pressure (350 bar) fuel gas systems for gas-diesel applications has helped to keep a sharp technical edge.
Greenlane biogas processing technology has been driven by development of an eco-friendly, sustainable and economically viable vehicle fuel. This is a very exciting part of Flotech, as the demand for renewable fuels increases and Greenlane remains the clear world leader in the biogas upgrading market.

Natural synergies have developed along with the gas processing business and Flotech is a leading provider of Heat Exchanger technology. Our standard / ex-stock range includes refrigeration compressor oil coolers, steam condensers and compressor inter & after-coolers - but still, our engineers enjoy the challenge of designing customised heat exchangers for virtually any application!

Flotech offers Technology, Design and Project-led Delivery of equipment together with supporting Installation & Commissioning services. Flotech have a worldwide client base serviced by an applications engineering and customer service team providing professionally tailored solutions.
